5Still going strong after nearly 3 years... great item  Aug 07, 2010
I bought this Proctor Silex 1.5 quart slow cooker in October 2007 (a month shy of 3 years, now) and it still looks and works like the day I bought it. One of my uses is when serving food buffet-style, like taco night or having people over to watch football, and it keeps food hot until I've got the other foods ready, and it's great for those that like to come back to make themselves a second plate.

For outright cooking in it, my favorite use is slow cooking turkey breast tenderloins. My favorite sandwich has shredded up turkey breast meat, but I don't want to deal with cooking a whole turkey or even a big turkey breast with the bones because I get kinda grossed out by it and it's a lot of work for sandwiches. So I buy boneless turkey breast tenderloins, put 2 in the slow cooker, set it on high, and about 2.5 hours later they're done. The cooker cleans easily with the removable crock pot, and it neatly pours out the liquids or fat. I'm pleased with this little slow cooker, and my sister has one too.

5Works very well  Aug 03, 2010
This crockpot is a real pleasure to use. The first couple of times I did my cooking overnight so I could monitor the heat level. No problem there. Each dish cooked slowly and safely on low, increasing my confidence that I could leave the house while it was on. The size is ideal for one person, and it does truly hold 6 cups of water up to the rim (some cookers don't actually hold as many quarts as they say they do -- I have a couple of those). Cover fits well with no sputtering. I actually bought mine in the local store but paid more than I would if I had bought it here. I very much recommend this .I was looking for a small cooker that would look nice on my counter and be ready for me to use often -- this is it. I've already made several delicious dishes in it, including a asian chicken stew, split pea pod soup and spicy squid.

51.5 Quart Slow Cooker  Aug 02, 2010
Great product, good price. Hard to find locally or in stores. This is the way to do it.

5Small Crock Pot  Aug 01, 2010
I'm happy with it but I don't know that I agree with the reviews about putting roasts in it. I think it's too small for that but perfect for appetizers or fondue desserts which is why I purchased it.

5Great for small servings and warm dips.  Jul 28, 2010
I have several sized crockpots, all in the 3-6 qt. range so I started looking for an even smaller slow cooker to use for smaller dishes and dips that had a lid. This was well reviewed and I took my chances with is despite not loving the color. I have used it three times and love it. It's easy to wash and stores a lot easier than my others because of it's much smaller size. The only thing I will say is that the week after I bought it I noticed Target had them cheaper, but Oh, well. I find having this around to store cooked foods in just to keep them warm is nice.
