 This machine will not disappoint!! Mar 09, 2010
I found this little machine at a Sam's Club and bought it for $49. It came with several small containers and the large blender size container. I am so impressed!!
I have owned ice machines that did not crush ice as well as this little machine does. Just remember to pulse.
It chops everything and does not leave chunks unchopped. And cleanup is fast and east.
I even use to grind the coffee beans for my french press coffee pot.
Even if you just buy it to make fancy drinks on Holidays.. you will get your moneys worth.
 Pitcher lid design seems unsanitary, (collects grime in crevices) Mar 07, 2010
I used one of these for several weeks and liked it very much. But then I noticed that the lid has many narrow nooks and crevices which were collecting grime. There is also a hidden space underneath the lip of the blue rubber seal on the lid where crud was collecting. These crevices are so narrow, (e.g. +- 1 mm. wide) as to be impossible to reach into with a paper towel, cloth or cleaning brush. Upon looking at it closely, the lid design appears to me to be really unsanitary and difficult to keep truly clean.
(I only used the larger container, so I can't comment on the smaller lid.)

I went to the store to buy a food processor and found the Ninja at half the price of the Cuisinart I was going to get. So I gave it a try. AMAZING! I cannot believe how powerful it is! I used it to grind cubed raw salmon, orange zest and juice, garlic, salt, and scallions into salmon patties. The recipe in my cookbook said to use a food processor for a few minutes and scrape down the sides as I go. Well I didn't need to. No joke, 3-6 quick pulses . no scraping...perfect. I'm super impressed! I don't know how it's longevity is since i just got it..but it does work and it works WELL!
Ninja Prep Master...the BEST Mar 02, 2010
I would just like to say that I am extremely pleased with this item. It does everything it says it does and then some. I have purchased other items like this that do not compare at all. As soon as I unpacked it was on my counter & being used. Guacomole is extremely easy and very well blended. Drinks are delicious and there is no pieces of ice when done blending. My other item (Bullet) is now gone from my house never to return.
I highly recommend this item.

Not enough to make me break down and buy one for every woman I know, but good enough to finally get rid of the old, semi-functional blender we've had for years. Much improved from the standard ice chunk depositing blender and easy to clean. Definitely happy that I bought one... speeds up virtually everything sauce oriented...
